Through simple, effective measures, a new home in Stavanger was transformed from a room with a lot of reverberation into a pleasant and balanced acoustic environment.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a new private home in Stavanger, the family encountered problems with the acoustics in the living room. The noise level was high, and the reverberation made it difficult to create a calm and comfortable atmosphere in everyday life. The solution was to install surface-mounted absorbers, which both improved the acoustic conditions and blended naturally into the room\u2019s design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An effective solution with great results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The starting point was a traditional structure comprising studwork and plasterboard. Instead of proceeding with skim-coating, plastering and painting, a more efficient solution was chosen, whereby sound-absorbing panels were fitted directly onto the plasterboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire roof surface was covered with the absorbent material Loke\u2122 40 mm <\/a>in white, laid in a half-bond pattern in the 1200 x 600 mm format. This not only created a stylish look, but also significantly improved the room\u2019s acoustic properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
