Soundproofing open-plan offices

When moving to new and beautiful offices, we needed View Group Stavanger help to mitigate sound in their office space.

There were system ceilings in all rooms, but open space and lots of hard surfaces. There was little to stop sound from travelling around the room. Directional sound from employees at their desks is a particular challenge in open-plan offices. They also had quiet rooms/telephone rooms that didn't work properly, where the conversation inside the room could be heard from the outside.

Together with the customer, we came up with a good solution by installing Hugin™ soundproofing table screen between the desks and  Hugin™ sound-absorbing partition wall at the end of each workgroup.

This led to better shielding of each workplace, while reducing reverberation throughout the room. The result was a neat, tidy and good acoustic solution that benefits the worker.

Silent rooms/telephone rooms were fitted with Frigg™40mm textile sound absorbing disc directly on the wall. This helped to dampen the reverberation in the room, leading to better working conditions and less sound leakage.

The customer is very satisfied with the result and the employees notice a clear difference in their working day.
