Expertise and certifications

Quality products customised for the Nordic market

11

Our knowledge, quality and production platform consists, in addition to our own expertise and experience, of close collaboration with a number of skilled and internationally recognised players in acoustics, quality control, certification and production of soundproofing products.

The collaboration has been ongoing for many years and is a close partnership, not least because of our office and employees in Shanghai, which acts as a hub. We have been present in China with an office in Shanghai since autumn 2005 and have experience of quality assurance of product production in China since the mid-1990s.

Quality at every stage

Our products are among the very best on the market and have been developed and customised for the Nordic market. The products have been developed over many years through continuous improvement and testing both in laboratories and in the field. We have complete documentation for the effect and a large number of versatile references.

We have products for most types of buildings and sound challenges, and can supply special products in custom sizes, shapes and colours.

The absorbers are equipped with surfaces that are durable, robust and well suited for decoration with print without significantly impairing the sound-absorbing properties.

When printing on absorbers, the best results are achieved by using UV printers. Other printing methods tend to saturate the surface too much and thus impair the sound-absorbing properties of the disc.

Laboratory tests confirm that our absorbers are in the sound classes we want them to be in. For example, some in sound class A and others in sound class B, and we do not manufacture products in sound classes lower than B.

Our products in sound class B can be upgraded to sound class A by adding air behind the absorber, for example, thereby improving/changing the properties. This is done to give the absorbers a wider range of uses and variations.

The products are primarily manufactured to provide the best possible absorption of sound waves in the entire audible Hertz spectrum and in accordance with the NS-ISO specification.

Our products in sound class A have an absorption coefficient (NRC) of 0.9 to 1.0. This is in accordance with the current EN-ISO standard for both sound absorption and testing.

The fact that our absorbers are so effective means that you achieve the same effect with fewer absorbers compared to most other solutions on the market.

The products' data sheet and DoP certificate contain information about properties, performance, CE and M1 certification.

Data sheets and DoP certificates are easily found on the individual product on our website.

Certification

All the products we sell are CE certified and M1 certified.

CE certified

Means that the product is manufactured and independently tested according to strict European standards that we are required to follow. There is a separate CE regulation for acoustic products that we fulfil.

A large number of products have been developed by us and are certified by us. The CE certification registration number is also shown on the individual product's data sheet and DoP certificate. Data sheets and DoP certificates are easily found on the individual product, which you can find Here.

CE certification of our products is carried out by independent companies that are authorised to issue CE certificates.

We ensure that products we carry that are developed by other manufacturers are also duly certified for the Nordic market if required.

M1 certified

Means that the product has been independently tested and fulfils the strictest international requirements for emissions and non-use of toxic components. There are specific requirements for acoustic products that must be met to obtain M1 certification.

EPD declaration

Environmental Product Declaration

An EPD is a concise third-party verified and registered document with transparent and comparable information about the environmental performance of products throughout their life cycle. Both the underlying LCA (Life-Cycle Assessment) and EPD are based on international standards. This is a voluntary declaration that is not imposed by authorities.

However, we are in the process of preparing EPDs for all our absorbents in 2022.

StartBANK

StartBANK is a systematised database where all important documentation about suppliers is collected. StartBANK retrieves information from public registers, including the Norwegian Tax Administration. If a supplier is registered here, it means that the supplier has all documentation and finances in order. In other words, an important authorisation. This means that suppliers in the building and construction industry do not have to submit the same documentation over and over again.

Suppliers can enter their StartBANK ID and avoid sending documentation in each individual competition. In addition, the information will also be kept up to date.

Impact resistant certified

The sound absorbers Loke Strong and Frigg are tested for impact resistance in class 1A in accordance with EN13964, annex D and DIN 18032:2018-11. This is the best possible for this type of product/material.

Classes

1A: recommended where there is a risk of heavy impact. For example, in sports halls and gyms where football, handball etc. are played (heavy-impact ball sports).

2A: recommended where there is a risk of impact. For example, in sports halls, fitness centres and gyms where volleyball, soft-ball and similar (low-impact ball sports) are played.

3A: recommended where there is some risk of impact/contact with users, for example classrooms and school corridors.

Environmental certificate

The company makes a conscious choice to take climate and environmental responsibility. Eco-lighthouse is a Norwegian public certificate that is supported and recommended by the Ministry of the Environment. The certificate is recognised by the authorities in public procurement and approved as environmental documentation in tenders.

Eco-Lighthouse is an environmental management system for public and private organisations that wish to document their environmental efforts. The company must set environmental goals and fulfil specific requirements within health, safety and environment, working environment, energy, waste, transport and aesthetics. The company undergoes an environmental analysis and when it fulfils defined industry requirements, it is certified as an Eco-Lighthouse.

Recognised in Europe
Eco-Lighthouse ( Eco-Lighthouse) is the first national scheme in Europe to be recognised by the EU. Certified organisations can present the Environmental Tower certificate as documentation where EMAS or other environmental management systems are required.
