Description

The plate has two properties, blocking through-sound and absorbing reverberation in the room.

  • Eira™dB 49 mm is designed specifically to dampen sound between rooms and floors (step sound) and to dampen reverberation in rooms.
  • The disc has 2 sets of properties:
  • Blocks continuous sound with 30 dB Rw (average for the entire Hz spectrum) according to BS EN ISO 717-1:2013. BS EN ISO 717-1:2013.
  • Soundproofing via the ceiling between two rooms. Dn,f,w -value 42 dB according to BS EN ISO 717-1:1997
  • Absorbs reverberation in the room where it is installed. NRC = 0.95, sound class A.

The plate is 49 mm and consists of Eira™ 40 mm + 9 mm plasterboard glued to the back. Absorbs like an Eira 40, but blocks sound throughout with 30 dB Rw (average for the entire Hz spectrum). The board is ideal for sound absorption and sound insulation. Stops sound between rooms and floors and minimises impact sound from the floor above.

Assembly. Glued directly to the substrate or laid in a traditional t-system.

Colours. Matt full black with nearest colour code RAL 9017 (Traffic black). Can be ordered in other colours (minimum 100 m2).

Fire class. A2-s1,d0, according to EN 13501-1

Eira DB is incredibly effective.

The product is M1 certified. This means that the product has been tested and fulfils the strictest international requirements for emissions and non-use of toxic components. There are special requirements for acoustic products that must be met to obtain M1 certification.

EPD (Environmental Product Declaration). The product has completed the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) report and received an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certificate.

Cleaning and maintenance
The board has a surface that allows dusting and careful washing with a slightly damp cloth. If the disc is painted over, it will lose its properties.

Installation

The panel can be laid in a traditional T-system or glued directly to the substrate (soffit/roof or wall). Then you need 1 cartridge x-treme glue per 2 m2 of absorbent. When gluing up, remove the ceiling moulding and grout against the wall. You will then need black acrylic joint.
