Experience shows that most living rooms require an acoustic coverage ratio of approximately 65 % of the floor area to ensure good acoustic conditions. Rooms with extra ceiling height often require a higher coverage ratio.

This level of sound absorption can be achieved through a combination of acoustic ceilings, wall absorbers, carpets and sound-absorbing furniture or décor.

Calculation:
Floor area (m²) × 65 % = required absorption area (m²)

Example:
75 m² × 65 % = approx. 48.75 m² of absorbers.

This is an experience-based rule of thumb. For precise calculations, acoustic measurements and calculations based on the room’s actual conditions must be carried out.
We offer acoustic measurements, site surveys and calculations in accordance with NS 8175, NS 8178 and TEK10/TEK17. If on-site measurements are not possible, we can carry out a remote assessment based on the dimensions and photographs of the room and draw up proposed solutions and a quotation.

Shipping is calculated in the online store according to volume and delivery location. The freight varies greatly due to the fact that these are goods with a large volume and varying weight, as well as delivery location.

Of course, it depends on the need and what the challenge is in the room.

The most common solution is to install the absorbers in the ceiling. Preferably as close to the noise source as possible. Either in neat fields or full coverage of the ceiling.

A rule of thumb is that if the ceiling height is higher than 3 metres, absorbers should be installed on the wall in addition to the ceiling/ceiling. Otherwise, the absorbers should be placed as close to the noise source as possible.
