Modern homes with large rooms, sloping ceilings and lots of hard surfaces are beautiful, but they often create challenging acoustics.
How we solved the sound problems in this home
In this private home, we delivered a customised solution with discreet glued-on absorbers in the highest sound attenuation class A. Our best-selling absorbers for ceilings with a white surface and fabulous sound absorption are called LokiTM40 mm and EiraTM40 mm. The boards are 40 mm thick and need no air on the back. The absorbers were laid in a semi-connected pattern with panel sizes of 1200×600 mm. The absorbers are glued directly to the ceiling tiles and grouted at the wall/ceiling junction.
The result: A stylish living room with pleasant reverberation
Thanks to good planning by the customer, they avoided unnecessary expenses and time spent plastering, sanding and painting the ceiling. The result was a room that both sounds and feels calmer, without changing the expression. The customer is delighted 😊
